Hi, I'm Sanne Lagendijk, location manager of Kindergarden Zuivelplein Amsterdam.

All parents know all our members of staff at our Zuivelplein location. Located in Amsterdam’s Betondorp district, this facility is an intimate size, with a home-like and comfortable atmosphere and the feel of a neighborhood daycare. Our eye-catching building, designed in the style of the Amsterdam School of architecture, provides a calm and safe environment for your child. In our baby group, our child-care workers encourage your child to explore the space and materials around them, including such playtime essentials as playmats and preschool play mirrors.

We make sure there’s a good balance between playtime and naptime in each of our groups. All our spaces are designed to foster development by inviting your child to set out on a journey of exploration. Did you know we have a guest instructor give yoga and music lessons to our toddler group? In the garden, the children like to romp around in the playhouse, outdoor kitchen, sandbox or vegetable garden – we’ve got plenty of room and then some! We also provide a separate baby garden for our youngest children.

You’ll find us near Middenweg, just off the A10 highway. Many of our parents are unaware just how close this Kindergarden location is to Diemen – it’s literally right across the bridge.

  • Vegetable garden

We have a vegetable garden to teach the children more about nature! We sow seeds, take care of the plants, and harvest them together with the children. And the harvest? We make delicious mint water from it or eat the cucumbers, tomatoes, or strawberries together.

  • Large garden

Our large green garden really invites children to start discovering and playing. The playhouse, the sandpit, the bamboo forest, or our outdoor kitchen, they all ensure that your child is invited to discover and play.

  • Baby and toddler music lessons

We offer our children weekly music lessons. It’s especially important for the youngest children as well as toddlers and infants, as music helps them to interact socially and build confidence.

  • Toddler yoga

Exercise is important, which is why we offer weekly toddler yoga. This develops a good way of moving. We also practice keeping balance and we develop their fine and gross motor skills. They simply love it!

Review from a parent

Kindergarden Zuivelplein is a really wonderful daycare center. All the staff are so caring and professional. My daughter always really enjoys it and that gives me real peace of mind. It’s also great that the parent app always contains information and photos of what happened that day. The location is perfect too: small-scale with three groups (baby/infant/toddler) and a wonderfully sheltered rear garden where the children can play when the weather’s fine. And last but not least, they serve a fresh, hot lunch every day.
