We like to retreat into our multi-sensory room with a small group of younger toddlers whenever it’s time for a little rest and relaxation. It’s a moment for everyone to take a breather or read a book together from our very own library. We’ve got a special toy cabinet for children aged 3 and up in the toddler sections, whose contents have been adapted to the stage of development of our oldest toddlers. When it’s naptime for our youngest children, it’s playtime for them! It’s all part of how we prepare our children for elementary school.
Step outside and you’ll see our pride and joy: our spacious, natural, and informal garden, replete with shrubs for hiding, a large sandbox, a slide, shade covers, two vegetable gardens, and picnic tables for balmy days.
We’re located in a child-friendly neighborhood, right next to the Hoeksteen elementary school and with easy access to the A1 highway.
In this location you will find Kindergarden Kamerlingh Onnesweg
Babies can enjoy the fresh air in complete safety in their own sheltered area with their own play equipment including special tactile elements.
What a unique feature; our own library! As well as the greatest story books, we also have a story-telling corner and comfy sofas and cushions so the kids can dream away.
Large discovery garden
Our large, green garden really invites discovery and play. The children can play hide-and-seek to their heart’s content in the wander forests, play in the large sandpit or race around on small bicycles or carts.
Older toddler activities
We often make a point of splitting the toddler group so we can respond to children’s various developmental phases. For instance, in the morning we start with circle time, to prepare the older toddlers (over 3s) for elementary school.
Every child lives in a world where everything impresses – and everything has an impact. That is why we work with horizontal groups at our locations.
Review from a parent
Our daughter really enjoys going to “the kids” at Kindergarden every day. All the staff are really caring and committed. They cover a really fun and educational topic every week and we hear such amazing stories about this during our evening meals. The rooms have a calm and homely feel and the garden offers so much space for playing outdoors. Every day there’s a fresh, hot meal at lunchtime. We’re delighted that we chose Kindergarden!

Frequently asked questions
Many of our locations have waiting lists because many places are currently full. We rely on cancellations or schedule changes to make a new place available for you. This makes it very difficult to estimate how long it will take before placement options come up. We offer places based on the registration date.
We also have two types of waiting lists:
- an internal priority waiting list for siblings and for extra days for children who already have a place
- a general waiting list for children who do not yet have a place at Kindergarden.
We advise that you register your child as quickly as possible as this will increase your chance of a place. We will take your requirements into account and will, of course, do our utmost to accommodate you.
That depends on various factors including preferred days, how many days you need, and how flexible you are. For example, the likelihood of a placement becoming available for one day is greater than three or four days becoming available in one go. The more flexible you are as a parent, the greater the likelihood that we will be able to offer you a place.
