We are converting one of our toddler groups into a studio, where we like to take smaller groups of kids to do crafts, offering them a variety of materials and utensils they can use to get creative. The purpose is to learn and discover in a playful way by experimenting with materials, techniques, and shapes.
Outdoors, children have more freedom and tend to feel more independent, and our yard is designed specifically for this purpose. Each group has its own section of the garden, and even the infants can enjoy the fresh air in their separate, blocked-off section. The children can hide in the yard, join their friends, or spend some time on their own if they like. After all, kids can’t keep running around all day, can they?
We’re located 15 minutes by bike from De Uithof and 30 minutes from Utrecht’s central railway station. The A27 highway is just a 5-minute drive away.
In this location you will find Kindergarden Choisyweg
We often divide the infant and toddler groups into smaller groups, so we can really focus on a specific activity. Take our studio for instance, where we offer other craft materials than in the general group, such as magic sand.
Babies can enjoy the fresh air in complete safety in their own sheltered baby garden area. And the older children can play hide-and-seek to their heart’s content in the willow tunnel or in the sandpit, or race around on small bicycles or carts.
We offer our children weekly music lessons. It’s especially important for the youngest children, as music helps them interact socially and builds confidence.
Our older toddler group focuses on each toddler’s specific developmental needs. We aim to promote self-reliance and challenge them to do as much for themselves as possible, as that will be really useful when they start school!
Every child lives in a world where everything impresses – and everything has an impact. That is why we work with horizontal groups at our locations.
Review from a parent
We’re simply delighted with Kindergarden Choisyweg. The daycare center’s location in the old school building is really beautiful. All the staff are really caring and professional. They do such fun and instructive activities with the children; even the youngest ones. They serve a healthy, hot meal every day, which is something else we’re extremely pleased about. And the excellent indoor and outdoor play areas are great!

Frequently asked questions
Many of our locations have waiting lists because many places are currently full. We rely on cancellations or schedule changes to make a new place available for you. This makes it very difficult to estimate how long it will take before placement options come up. We offer places based on the registration date.
We also have two types of waiting lists:
- an internal priority waiting list for siblings and for extra days for children who already have a place
- a general waiting list for children who do not yet have a place at Kindergarden.
To increase the chances of securing a spot, we recommend enrolling your child as soon as possible at our childcare. We take your preferences into account during our planning and strive to fulfill your wishes to the best of our ability.
That depends on various factors including preferred days, how many days you need, and how flexible you are. For example, the likelihood of a placement becoming available for one day is greater than three or four days becoming available in one go. The more flexible you are as a parent, the greater the likelihood that we will be able to offer you a place.
