After school care

The best ever after school care adventure of your child starts in Houten! Challenge, relaxation and development go hand in hand... For all ages, there is a world to discover: from Preschool plus to children of 12 years. And all under one roof, one minute walk from our childcare centre in Houten.

In our new after school care at the Tuibrug, the children enjoy light, air and space. It is homey, small-scale, organized and yet it is not like home... This is due to the special program and wide range of facilities.

Living rooms

There are two spacious living rooms in quiet, robust colours. To come together, relax, play, build or watch tv together.

Children’s Kitchen

During cooking workshops, children get acquainted with food and cooking. They learn to handle kitchen equipment and are encouraged to participate as much as possible.

Science Rocks Lab

Taking care of animals? (Turtles, fish, reptiles) Sorting plants? Carrying out experiments? Growing vegetables? Working with a microscope? Soldering? 3D printing? Following a workshop after which you can control a Lego robot? Everything here is about Nature and Technology.

ArtSmart studio

In the ArtSmart studio, creativity rules: there are artist’s easels, workplaces with bank screws; there is a sewing machine and we work with clay, wood and ecoline.

Fantasy space

Dressing up, face painting and practicing for theatre performances? There is a low stage with curtains and a sound system with microphones to make and listen to music.

Gym/Movement room

With the help of a climbing wall, hoops, thick and thin mats, a buck, slide and chicken board we stimulate motor development. In the gym, children learn to work together, play together and move together. From Judo to Ballet and Street Dance. There is a DJ set and a mirror wall, where dance movements are experienced and seen

Calm, silence, a hanging chair, beanbags and pillows... A wide range of children's books, sorted by age and subject (also for 4 year olds), makes the library a wonderful place to relax.

Computer space

This is about information and education: children can do homework, follow a type course and produce or program something using the available equipment: for example a video

Outdoors is as important as indoors! Through a fence, the children reach a safe, challenging garden to spend time together, to climb and hide themselves, with real grass (and artificial grass for sports), a bamboo forest, slide, tree trunks – you name it. There is a nature garden, a vegetable garden and a klompenhok (garden shed) for the true farmer's feel.

Preschool plus group

On the first floor you will find the Preschool plus group. This is aimed at making an even stronger connection with primary school. The children can use all facilities and gradually get used to the after school care rooms and the other children.

Pick up

We pick up your child at school with the Kindergarden bus, taxi or on foot. For this we do not charge extra costs. For various primary schools in Houten after school care is possible.
