After a busy school day, children generally want to be able to choose what to do themselves. At Kindergarden, they are therefore free to fill the afternoon as they please. Whether they want to read a book quietly, build a hut with their friends, or participate in a creative activity, everything’s allowed. This helps children to learn that their own choices matter. That in turn boosts their confidence, as well as the after-school fun.

Making your own choices builds confidence

Being allowed to make their own decisions helps children to grow. Choosing their activities gives children the experience that their opinion matters and that they can have an influence on how their day proceeds. Our childcare professionals will support your child in making their choice. They ensure that every child has the space to choose something that suits both their mood and interests. While one child might want to run around outside, another might prefer to find a quiet spot at the edge of the sandbox, and that’s all fine with us.

Freedom to choose, every day

Every day is different at our after-school care. We offer a variety of daily activities that the children can choose from themselves. And if they have their own fun ideas too, we’re always open to that as well.

Some of the activities children can enjoy at Kindergarden include:

playing outdoors with friends

cooking or baking
reading or drawing quietly
theater activities
making music or dancing

playing with blocks

By trying out all of the different activities, children get to know their own interests and discover what helps them either relax or work off their energy.

At our after-school care, children learn to find their own way while still being given clear boundaries. Our childcare professionals are always there to motivate and help them where needed. They encourage the children to try something new, give compliments when something succeeds, and help find solutions when things go wrong. This gives children the feeling of being supported while still free to go their own way.
