Healthy and Enjoyable Eating at After-School Care

For us, eating is about more than just food. It’s also about togetherness: discovering new flavors and sometimes even preparing dishes ourselves. We turn every mealtime into something to look forward to. This way, your child learns to enjoy healthy eating. Are there any dietary requirements? No problem. Your child will still enjoy tasty and nutritious food with us.

Always a Buffet After School

After school, many children are hungry—and that works out perfectly: we have a fresh buffet ready where children can help themselves. Thanks to the buffet, they never have to wait until everyone arrives. They can immediately sit down for a healthy snack or a tasty lunch.

What’s on the Table?

Healthy food is a given for us. That’s why we serve fresh, nutritious products that give your child energy.

What you can expect:


  • A healthy buffet with raw vegetables and fruit, yogurt with muesli, nuts, and a sandwich or two crackers with healthy toppings
  • Lunch with whole-grain bread and a variety of healthy toppings (or a bowl of yogurt with muesli)
  • Healthy snacks, such as fruit, veggie sticks, or yogurt
  • Water and lukewarm tea as standard drinks

Sometimes a Warm Meal

At some locations, your child can enjoy a warm meal at the end of the day. That’s convenient: your child has already eaten when you pick them up. Of course, we always prepare meals fresh. And all our meals follow the Dutch “Schijf van Vijf” guidelines.

Choosing, Tasting, and Cooking

Serving themselves makes children curious and independent. That’s why they choose what they want from the buffet. Our childcare professionals join in and explain what’s on the table, encouraging children to try new things.


We also sometimes cook and bake together—a favorite activity for many kids! Under supervision, they can chop vegetables, mix a smoothie, or make a snack. They’re always proud to enjoy their own creations afterward.

Attention to Allergies and Dietary Needs

Healthy and enjoyable eating also means safe eating. We gladly accommodate allergies, intolerances, or special diets. Does your child avoid cow’s milk, gluten, or certain nuts? Or eat vegetarian or halal? Let us know, and we’ll make sure your child can eat safely and happily.


If there’s a risk of an allergic reaction or no suitable options, you may bring your own food. We can warm up the meal for your child if needed.
