Kindergarden is working toward a sustainable future 

Kindergarden is committed to a sustainable future, motivated by the well-being of “our” children. We believe in the importance of helping to create a better world for current and future generations, and we believe that every step, whether large or small, can make a difference.
At Kindergarden, our aim is to witness children growing up in a healthy and sustainable environment that focuses on respect for each other and for nature. Accordingly, in everything we do we ask ourselves, “Is this a sustainable choice?”.

Our Impact Report demonstrates the way we integrate sustainability into everything we do. It describes the steps we're taking with respect to the environment, social impact and good governance, and how we're building a sustainable future for the children of today and tomorrow.

In brief...

We are reducing our carbon emissions, promoting inclusion and diversity, and upholding high ethical standards. We are proud of the progress we have already made, such as by incorporating environmentally friendly initiatives into our operations. Every day, we take a step in the right direction together; and we remain committed to improvement. 
 
Kindergarden uses the ESG (environmental, social and governance) model, which we believe encompasses the three “sustainability” responsibilities towards the environment, society, and good corporate governance. Our program complies with the requirements of the European Union (the CSRD legislation). 

Environmental

We want to substantially reduce our carbon footprint, and we have started preparations this year to improve our waste sorting efforts. Our food policy is also focused on sustainability, our vehicle fleet is already almost entirely electric, and we are working hard to improve the energy efficiency of our buildings.

Social

Kindergarden is an inclusive, diverse childcare center. We strive to ensure that all the children in our care feel welcome and appreciated. We also place a high priority on diversity and inclusion with respect to our current and future employees. We are committed to the well-being of our employees and children, and we consider it our duty to eliminate child labor from our supply chain.

Governance

Kindergarden is viewed by its stakeholders, society, and the regulator as a modern and healthy organization. Our corporate culture is an essential part of this, helping us to remain transparent and act responsibly in everything we do. We have consulted our stakeholders (parent committees, suppliers and landlords) on the structure of our program, and we also involve them in the decision-making process as we go along.
