Vacation options at Kindergarden after-school care

Even during the vacation, there’s a lot of fun to be had at Kindergarden’s after-school care. All Kindergarden after-school care locations are open all day during school vacations and on study days. The children can enjoy a special vacation program with workshops, outings, and fun projects. With activities such as an outing to the adventure park, a dance workshop, or a tour of the local fire department, it’s all happening at Kindergarden! Children can really look forward to school vacations at after-school care.

We have fun together

At Kindergarden, we involve the children in planning the holiday program. After all, they know best of all what’s fun to do! For this reason, we’re always interested in hearing their ideas and facilitating them if we can. This is also a great learning experience for the children. By preparing activities themselves, they can develop their skills in cooperation, planning, and taking each other into consideration. Naturally, the activities are even more fun when the children have come up with them themselves.

Workshops and projects

Each vacation has its own theme, such as Expedition Robinson, DIY, or Kindergarden’s Got Talent (a show in which all the children can showcase their talents). Within the theme, our childcare professionals create the most fun activities they can think of. The wide variety of activities ensures that every child will find something they enjoy. Parents receive the schedule of activities, workshops, and outings one week in advance.

From free play and music videos, to baking cakes and graffiti

In general, we schedule the most fun workshops during vacations. We always take the different ages and interests into account, so that every child can do something that makes them happy. For example, there might be a graffiti workshop on offer, or cake-baking, tie-dyeing clothes, or 3D printing.


If your child prefers free play, that’s no problem at all! There is enough space for the children to relax on their own or to come up with their own games together with friends.

Projects and outings

During vacations, we often work on a group project together. After all, collaboration is not only good for the children’s development, it’s also simply a lot of fun. This group project might be anything:

  • creating and performing a musical together
  • using carpentry to build a little playhouse village
  • making a spectacular music video
  • doing a dance workshop
  • climbing together at the adventure park

    • It goes without saying that we also enjoy going out together. Our outings are always both fun and educational, such as a trip to the petting zoo, a nature playground or a nearby forest, or an afternoon at an interesting museum. 

    We always arrange outings to suit the age and development stage of the children. Our childcare professionals ensure that every child receives the attention they deserve, including while we are on the road.

Summer after-school care at Kindergarden

If you’re looking for fun childcare for your child during the vacation, you and your child will be most welcome at a number of our locations, even if you are not yet using regular after-school care. It doesn't matter which school your child attends.
